In El Dorado, AR there is a high school that has just introduced a new program in 2012 called, New Tech. There are just a few differences between regular classes and New Tech classes… New Tech is technology based learning, unlike the boring antique traditional book work. New tech you submit grades online and can email your teachers anytime. New Tech you can view activities that you’ll study at the end of the school year. But the MOST important thing is how we treat each other based off of the three supporting Columns of New Tech; Trust, Respect, and last but not least Responsibility! Here are some examples of why each of these is important to you, me, and New Tech…

Trust! Google’s Definition of Trust-“firm belief in the reliability, truth, ability, or strength of someone or something/ confidence placed in a person by making that person the nominal owner of property to be held or used for the benefit of one or more others/ believe in the reliability, truth, ability, or strength of.” New Tech’s Definition of Trust- to show your group members, ourselves, peers, teachers, and guest that you are loyal enough to do you work and do what is in the group contract that you signed as soon as you got your group. Group Contracts are very important to groups because it let them know what you expect, pretty much lays down the law, and gives each group member different roles to do in order to assure that everyone gets their work done. If your group doesn’t have a contract then your group might as well be a pilot who doesn’t know how to fly a plane… eventually you figure out that it’s not going to work out.

Respect! Google’s Definition- “a feeling of deep admiration for someone or something elicited by their abilities, qualities, or achievements/ a particular aspect, point, or detail/ admire (someone or something) deeply, as a result of their abilities, qualities, or achievements.”New Tech’s Definition of Respect- to show your group members, ourselves, peers, teachers, and guest enough admiration that you will complete your work on time/ ahead of time, email them/ tell them before you will be late or absent, help others with their work when you are completed with yours, etc. If you do all the things that are listed above ^  then you are sure to have EXCELLENT Grades and so will your group  which will sometimes give you special privileges.

Responsability! Google’s definition of responsibility-”the state or fact of having a duty to deal with something or of having control over someone/ the state or fact of being accountable or to blame for something/ the opportunity or ability to act independently and make decisions without authorization.” New Tech’s Definition of Responsibility-to show your group members, ourselves, peers, teachers, and guest that you are so responsible that you finish work before the due date, complete your tasks, take the blame if need be, be mature, act like an adult, etc. If you do these things listed above ^ then everyone will take notice, even those who do not know you will say that you are very loyal, mature, and a great person.

Gay Marriage

“Calling something marriage does not make it marriage. Marriage has always been a covenant between a man and a woman which is by its nature ordered toward the procreation and education of children and the unity and well being of the spouses.The promoters of same-sex “marriage” propose something entirely different. They propose the union between two men or two women. This denies the self-evident biological, physiological, and psychological differences between men and women which find their complementarity in marriage. It also denies the specific primary purpose of marriage: the perpetuation of the human race and the raising of children.Two entirely different things cannot be considered the same thing.”

What this is saying to me is that marriage used to be a covenant before the one and only God, now marriage is just a saying that has been drug through the mud and is pretty much meaningless in today society. If I claimed to be married to a brick wall some mindless people would probably agree that it should be legal and we could have a rally outside of the White House and make it legal in some states. In my opinion the only reason it is legal in some states is because the government doesn’t have any balls or morals. The United States used to founded “Under God” now it’s founded under money. Almost every name brand there is (Walmart, Home Depot, American Girl Dolls, etc.) support gays fearing that they’ll lose business or they have a court battle. Even the Bible says:

“1. Genesis 19:5: “And they called unto Lot, and said unto him, where are the men which came in to thee this night? Bring them out unto us, that we may know them.”

2. Leviticus 18:22: ” Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination.”

3. Leviticus 20:13: “If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them.”

4. Deuteronomy 23:17: ” There shall be no whore of the daughters of Israel, nor a sodomite of the sons of Israel.”

5. Judges 19:22: “Now as they were making their hearts merry, behold, the men of the city, certain sons of Belial, beset the house round about, and beat at the door, and spake to the master of the house, the old man, saying, Bring forth the man that came into thine house, that we may know him.”

6. 1 Kings 14:24: “And there were also sodomites in the land: and they did according to all the abominations of the nations which the LORD cast out before the children of Israel.”

7. 1 Kings 15:12: “And he took away the sodomites out of the land, and removed all the idols that his fathers had made.”

8. 1 Kings 22:46: “And the remnant of the sodomites, which remained in the days of his father Asa, he took out of the land.”

9. 2 Kings 23:7: “And he brake down the houses of the sodomites, that were by the house of the LORD, where the women wove hangings for the grove.”

10. Romans 1:26-27: “For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: 27 And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.”

11. 1 Corinthian 6:9: “Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind.”

12. 1 Timothy 1:9:10: “Knowing this, that the law is not made for a righteous man, but for the lawless and disobedient, for the ungodly and for sinners, for unholy and profane, for murderers of fathers and murderers of mothers, for manslayers, 10 For whoremongers, for them that defile themselves with mankind, for menstealers, for liars, for perjured persons, and if there be any other thing that is contrary to sound doctrine;””
